18/54 How To Make A Folding Egg—The Result

After ten long days of sitting in vinegar, our empty egg was ready. I pulled the membrane out of the old vinegar and gently rinsed it off.

After that, I found the little hole that we poked and then I gently puffed air into the membrane.

Despite the weird face, I really was gentle. The membrane held its shape.

Kind of. =D I couldn’t do much more with it. Because the membrane was so fragile, the holes ripped open and could not be handled anymore.
That wraps it up for our “Folding Egg” experiment and the “Kitchen Chemistry” chapter. Our next chapter is called “Dry Ice” and I am very excited about it! I hope it will blow us away!!!
